.Believe Like Jesus is a deeply meaningful book that invites readers to move beyond simply having faith in Jesus to embodying the faith of Jesus. The book challenges us to embody a more engaged and bold faith that not only knows about Jesus but experiences the courage of Jesus personally, daring us to trust in the One whom Jesus trusted in. The author offers probing questions and examples on how to become more aware of the power of God in our lives. She powerfully weaves in her own story, along with the stories of her husband and others, sharing the challenges of life and the world, and also the strength of a faith that is deep and transformative. The purpose of the book is to help cultivate a faith that reflects the boldness and love of Jesus and to deepen one’s spiritual journey. Books are available at the Welcome Center for a suggested donation of $20. Join a book discussion group on Wednesdays from March 12 - April 23 in the Chapel from 6:30-7:45 p.m.

Buchanan Concert

Buchanan Community Chorus will present Let the Light Shine on Saturday, May 3 at 3:00 p.m. in our Sanctuary. A freewill donation will be accepted.

Pay It Forward Day

April 8, 2025
For the second time, we are going to participate in National Pay It Forward Day. We believe that acts of kindness can change the world for the better and the world could use some “better!” We are going to help people get their groceries to their cars and return the carts at County Market on Sunday, May 4 from noon until 3:00 pm. Last year, there were many positive comments from those we served. People remarked how amazing it was for a church to do something without asking for anything in return. We turned down tips and donations and said, “We just want you to pay it forward.” Children under the age of 16 will be asked to help hand out water outside of the store.

Community Care Days - June 13-14.

The Community Care Days Committee has designated Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14 as the workdays serving our community. Workdays begin at 8:00 a.m. on both days and continue all day Friday and end at noon on Saturday. If you are needing work done, the applications are due May 15 and applications are available at the Welcome Center.
